Agile technical writing

Many writers are familiar with terms "extreme programming" or "agile development", even if they don't work in such an environment. Tom Johnson has an article about extreme technica writing", which is, more or less, what writers do when they work in an agile development environment. His post is based on two posts by Sarah Maddox: The Agile Technical Writer (1) and The Agile Technical Writer (II).

Both Tom's and Sarah's articles are worth reading. There's one thing I need to think about more, and that's what about the writer who works in an environment that has elements of both traditional and agile development. It does make make your life interesting when, for example, one development group is happily embracing a wiki for their documentation, and another group doesn't know what a wiki is.
