Unfortunately, this check often generates false positives; WordHelp wont apply the media type because it thinks theres already one there, when in fact there isnt. Your only option is to manually insert the appropriate media type fields and text formatting. This was happening often enough in the WebWorks Help project I was working on that I decided to write a macro to apply the fields that I needed. In my case, I have four media types: PrintOnly HelpOnly CommentToAuthor CommentToReviewer The TagWithMediaType macro applies the appropriate media type without doing any checking. The macro runs from a user form (frmAddMediaType), that contains four option buttons to apply the appropriate media type. You can change the names of the media types and their highlighting by editing the cmdOK_Click macro in the forms code. To use the macro, add the macro TagWithMediaType to a toolbar button. I must give credit to Neman Syed, the instructor in the VBA course that I took from Front-Runner, who helped me with this and wrote much of it. Its posted here with his blessing. Use this macro at your own risk. Ive used it without problems, but I wont guarantee that it wont crash your machine, eat your data, or tune you into a frog on Friday the 13th. --Keith Soltys --March 15, 2003 2003 Keith Soltys CJ\56]H*6{DE $a$ 1h/ =!"#$% i8@8 NormalCJ_HaJmH sH tH V`V Heading 1$<@&"5CJ KH OJPJQJ\^JaJ <A@< Default Paragraph Font@o@ Table Bullet Small & F z6{DE0000 0 0 0 00000000000000000000000 bj{,;.[`ae;Bek:: Keith Soltys Keith SoltyshD:\Documents and Settings\Keith\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\AutoRecovery save of WordHelp_macros.asd Keith SoltyshD:\Documents and Settings\Keith\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\AutoRecovery save of WordHelp_macros.asd Keith SoltyshD:\Documents and Settings\Keith\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\AutoRecovery save of WordHelp_macros.asd Keith Soltys<D:\data\Home_Page_2002\techcomm\articles\WordHelp_macros.dot|(h ^`OJQJo(h ^`OJQJo(oh pp^p`OJQJo(h @ @ ^@ `OJQJo(h ^`OJQJo(oh ^`OJQJo(h ^`OJQJo(h ^`OJQJo(oh PP^P`OJQJo(|L4 V" "&Project.FieldCreation.TagWithMediaType&PROJECT.FIELDCREATION.TAGWITHMEDIATYPE@^k@UnknownGz Times New Roman5Symbol3& z ArialI& ??Arial Unicode MS?5 z Courier New;Wingdings"qh3sx|s!>0d 2QHWordHelp Macros Keith Soltys Keith SoltysOh+'0 , H T `lt|WordHelp Macrosord Keith SoltysoseiteitWordHelp_macros.dot Keith Soltysos.2itMicrosoft Word 9.0@ @S!@@ F՜.+,0 hp TSX GroupM WordHelp Macros Title, ;8cmdCancelme.SE( #opgMediaType Microsoft Forms 2.0 FormEmbedded Object9q:F<=>?@VERSION 5.00 Begin {C62A69F0-16DC-11CE-9E98-00AA00574A4F} frmAddMediaType Caption = "Add Media Type" ClientHeight = 2565 ClientLeft = 45 ClientTop = 330 ClientWidth = 5175 StartUpPosition = 1 CompObjaVBFrame/PROJECTwmPROJECT%DocumentSummaryInformation8Macros
